Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Fremont is seeking an Intensive Behavioral Support Provider to assist individuals with developmental delays and challenging behaviors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience in an educational or healthcare setting preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children/adults with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, or related field preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior areas and crisis intervention.
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed.
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan.

Education

High school diploma or GED

College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field

Requirements
