Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services in Vacaville, CA is hiring an Intensive Behavioral Support Provider to work with children and/or adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. You will provide one-to-one behavior interventions, assist with daily living skills, and participate in data collection under a Behavior Support Plan.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, personal care tasks, and collaboration with supervisors to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in educational or healthcare setting preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience with individuals with special needs who display challenging behaviors.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work or related field preferred.
• Current in-person CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• TB test updated within past 90 days or willingness to obtain.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention.
• Assist with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, meals, dressing and ambulation.
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan.

Responsibilities:

• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed

  Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous experience working in an educational or healthcare setting preferred
  • At least one year of experience working with children/adults with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors
  • College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field preferred
  • Current in-person CPR/ First Aid certification for Adult & Children (or willing to get)
  • Updated TB test within past 90 days (or willing to get)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
