Job summary

Community Services Group (CSG) seeks a Behavioral Services Specialist to create and implement positive behavioral support plans for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities served in our program sites. You will work closely with supervisory and direct service staff to ensure the rights and quality of behavioral support.

The role involves conducting FBAs, monitoring progress with data collection, and developing data-driven BSPs using trauma-informed, least restrictive

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field; two years of direct experience with mental illness/IDD.
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) using indirect and direct methods.
• Monitor progress through on-site visits, data collection, and assessments.
• Develop data-driven Behavior Support Plans (BSP) based on FBA findings.
• Suggest environmental modifications, antecedent strategies, and replacement skills.
• Participate in development of individual service or treatment plans.
• Review plans with program specialists and adjust as needs change.
• Supervise progress report completion and maintain program records.
• Lead staff training on positive behavioral support techniques.
• Maintain thorough documentation to comply with regulations.
• Collaborate with direct service staff to create goals and plans.
• Demonstrate knowledge of IDD, mental health, autism, trauma-informed care.
• Implement best-practice behavioral interventions.

Education

Master’s degree in special education, psychology, counseling, social work, education, applied behavior analysis, or gerontology
