Job summary

Person Driven Clinical Solutions is seeking a dedicated Behavior Specialist to support individuals with mental health and developmental needs in the Carnegie area. You will develop BSP/RPP, collect data, and collaborate with families and teams to promote independence and safety.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, documentation, and adherence to human rights, with a focus on person-centered interventions and ongoing staff mentoring.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Counseling or other health related fields.
• Two to five years behavioral support services experience.
• Knowledge and experience with: Positive Approaches, Dual Diagnosis, Person Centered Thinking, Trauma Informed Care, group facilitation and staff mentoring a plus.
• Excellent writing, documentation, and record keeping skills; emphasis on Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and written behavioral/treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Complete evaluation / detailed assessment of needs for BSP or RPP.
• Collect and evaluate behavioral data.
• Observe individual in various settings for BSP/RPP development.
• Collaborate with the individual, family, and team for BSP/RPP.
• Conduct comprehensive functional assessments of presenting issues (e.g., aggression, self-injurious behavior, elopement).
• Develop individualized BSP/RPP reflecting core clinical needs.
• Train and mentor staff on BSP/RPP.
• Implement activities and strategies identified in BSP/RPP.
• Monitor implementation of BSP/RPP.
• Collect, organize, review, and analyze data on challenging strategies.
• Maintain and update behavioral data tracking tools using Excel.
• Review and revise BSP/RPP annually at ISP Annual Review.
• Collect BSP/RPP signatures via DocuSign.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams for annual training on BSP/RPP.
