Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living seeks a Behavior Specialist to develop and implement Behavior Support Plans (BSP) under supervision, and to train care teams for effective plan execution. You will monitor progress, analyze data, adjust interventions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to apply evidence-based practices across residential and community settings.

This role requires a Bachelor's in psychology, 1–2 years of related experience, and a willingness to complete any required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 1–2 years' experience with mentally ill and intellectually disabled adults preferred.
• Experience with behavioral observations and interventions for high-intensity behaviors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Meets with assigned individuals to develop and implement BSP under supervision.
• Trains staff to implement BSP and may model interventions.
• Participates in monthly clinical/behavioral consultation meetings.
• Develops and implements crisis management and behavioral support services.
• Provides post-incident debriefing and reviews.
• Maintains notes and tracking records.
• Ensures program records maintained and reports submitted on time.
• Communicates with families and participates in inter-agency meetings.
• On-Call as required.
