Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Specialist I to join the Adult Community Clinical Service (ACCS) team. The role focuses on evidence-based interventions and supports adults with severe mental illness in residential or community settings.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to assess symptoms, support recovery goals, and ensure culturally competent services. The position offers evening hours Sunday to Saturday with a 32-hour schedule, providing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Experience working with adults with mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventions to clients that focus on problem solving, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement
• Assist the team in providing on-going assessments of client symptoms and their responses to staff interventions
• Support clients in their desire for recovery and rehabilitation in the development of their goals
• Ensure that services provided are culturally competent, strengths based, and focused on rehabilitation and are inclusive of client preferences.
• Provide assistance to clients related to transportation to work sites, daily activities, and appointments
