Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services seeks a compassionate Behavioral Specialist I to join our Adult Community Clinical Service (ACCS) team, providing support to adults with severe mental illness in residential or community settings.

Schedule: Sunday 7am-3pm, Monday 7am-3pm, Friday 1pm-9pm, Saturday 1pm-9pm (32 hours). Hourly rate of $20.50 USD. A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field is required; experience with adults with mental illness is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Experience working with adults with mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventions to clients that focus on problem solving, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement
• Assist the team in providing on-going assessments of client symptoms and their responses to staff interventions
• Support clients in their desire for recovery and rehabilitation in the development of their goals
• Ensure that services provided are culturally competent, strengths based, and focused on rehabilitation and are inclusive of client preferences.
• Provide assistance to clients related to transportation to work sites, daily activities, and appointments

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
