Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Specialist II to join the Adult Community Clinical Service (ACCS) team.

You will deliver evidence-based interventions to adults with serious mental illness, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in residential or community settings. Responsibilities include supporting recovery goals, conducting assessments, ensuring culturally competent services, and assisting with transportation and medications as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice or related field
• Experience working with adults with mental illness

Responsibilities

• Provide interventions to clients that focus on problem solving, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement
• Assist the team in providing on-going assessments of client symptoms and their responses to staff interventions
• Support clients in their desire for recovery and rehabilitation in the development of their goals
• Ensure that services provided are culturally competent, strengths based, and focused on rehabilitation and are inclusive of client preferences
• Provide assistance to clients related to transportation to work sites, daily activities, and appointments
• Assist with the administration of prescribed medications, as needed
