Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services, Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Specialist I to join the Adult Community Clinical Service (ACCS) team. You will deliver evidence-based interventions to adults with severe and persistent mental illness in residential or community settings, guiding recovery and rehabilitation with a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes culturally competent, client-centered care, transportation support, and collaboration with staff to promote empowerment and meaningful goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Experience working with adults with mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventions to clients that focus on problem solving, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement.
• Assist the team in providing on-going assessments of client symptoms and their responses to staff interventions.
• Support clients in their desire for recovery and rehabilitation in the development of their goals.
• Ensure that services provided are culturally competent, strengths based, and focused on rehabilitation and are inclusive of client preferences.
• Provide assistance to clients related to transportation to work sites, daily activities, and appointments.

Education
