Portland Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified Special Education Teacher for the Behavioral and Social-Emotional Support Program (Breathe) at Rowe Elementary School in Maine. • Bachelor's degree in applicable field of education.
• Master's in Special Education preferred.
• Experience in special education (including internships and field placements).

Responsabilités

• Provide evidence-based specially designed instruction to students with IEPs.
• Serve as case manager for each student and conduct IEP meetings.
• Maintain accurate records as required by law and PPS policy.
• Support students with emotional disabilities and other health impairments.
• Create Positive Behavior Support plans and collaborate with related service providers.
• Consult with regular education teachers regarding needs, accommodations, and modifications.
• Administer academic achievement assessments and develop progress toward standards.
• Communicate student progress with parents/guardians.
