Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, is seeking a Training Coordinator for Coastal Regional Center in Summerville, SC. The role focuses on delivering In-Service Training and New Employee Orientation across the center.

You will update curricula, assist with presentation methods, and manage training records in the Therap TMS system, while supporting Volunteer Services as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience.
• Knowledge of training principles and practices.
• Knowledge of methods and techniques for conducting formal and informal training sessions.
• Ability to conduct conferences, lead discussions, instruct training groups and stimulate learning.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to analyze training and development needs and communicate solutions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide In-Service Training, including certified courses such as Therapeutic Options, Defensive Driving, Positive Behavior Support and CPR/AED/SFA.
• Maintain training records electronically using the Therap Training Management System (TMS).
• Perform administrative duties related to Staff Development and Volunteer Services.
• Participate in Volunteer Services events and related activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
