Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for our Laurel Run, PA facility. This part-time, on-site role emphasizes patient safety, engagement, and support within inpatient behavioral health and substance use treatment programs.

The Recovery Support Specialist serves as a key team member, observing patients, communicating with staff, and supporting clinical activities to maintain a structured, therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent or higher.
• Experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, or mental health settings preferred.
• Behavioral health certification or related education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient supervision and safety checks.
• Monitor patient behavior and document observations with timely reporting.
• Respond to crisis using de-escalation techniques and follow emergency protocols.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and daily patient activities.
