Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Richmond, VA is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician for our new inpatient detox and residential facility. You will manage daily operations, support a BHT team, oversee client engagement, and ensure compliance with facility policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, at least 1 year of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily residential operations (Intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications).
• Train and support BHT team in operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm recovery environment.
• Ensure client and BHT compliance with all Avenues rules, policies and procedures.

What You'll Do
