Avenues Recovery Center in Richmond, VA is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for our new inpatient detox and residential facility. This role supports daily residential operations, oversees client engagement, and ensures adherence to program policies.

Responsibilities include supervising intake, transport, meals, medications, and events, plus training the BHT team. A High School diploma or GED is preferred; CPR certification is preferred; if in recovery, a minimum one-year sobriety is

What You'll Do

• Manage all daily residential operations (i.e. Intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications etc.)


• Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities


• Escalate any concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician


• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment


• Ensure client and BHT compliance to all Avenues rules, policies and procedures

What We're Looking For

• High School diploma or GED preferred


• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred


• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.


• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills


• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries


• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles
