Avenues Recovery Center in Norfolk, VA seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to oversee daily residential operations and to train the BHT team, ensuring a warm, recovery-focused environment for residents.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, CPR certification, and a minimum one-year sobriety if in recovery. Strong leadership and empathetic communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily residential operations (i.e. Intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications etc.).
• Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate any concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment.
• Ensure client and BHT compliance to all Avenues rules, policies and procedures.
