Avenues Recovery Center in Richmond, VA is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician for our new inpatient detox and residential facility. This role focuses on delivering compassionate care and supporting a smooth daily operation in a recovery setting.

Responsibilities include overseeing intake and supervision, coordinating meals and activities, training the BHT team, escalating crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician, and maintaining a safe, dignified environment aligned with facility rules

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles.
