Job summary

Avenues Recovery is hiring a BHT Shift Supervisor for our new inpatient Detox and Residential facility in Richmond, VA. The role covers overnight hours from 11pm to 7am, overseeing BHTs, and supporting admissions, transportation, meals, medication, and supervision.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, CPR certification preferred, and at least one year of sobriety if in recovery. The team values empathy, warmth, and strong multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• If in recovery, a minimum one year of sustained sobriety is required.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.).
• Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment.
• Monitor clients and enforce all Avenues policies to ensure safety of both clients and staff.
• Record and elevate any critical communication/incidents in a timely manner.
• Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.).
• Oversee all BHTs on your shift and provide training and support.

What You’ll Do
