Job summary

Ascension Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates, IL, seeks a caregiver to support patients on the Adult Psychiatry Unit - Float. Day shift, 7:00 am–7:30 pm, full-time position, located in Hoffman Estates.

The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, delivering direct patient care and interventions, and observing patient behavior to document and report changes to the treatment team in a collaborative care setting.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date (AHA or ARC accepted).
• CPI certification preferred.
• Nurse Aide credential preferred from Illinois Department of Public Health.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention credentialed from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) preferred.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Illinois Department of Public Health preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
