Job summary

Ascension is seeking a licensed mental health professional to join the Group Practice at the Hoffman Estates location in the Ascension Behavioral Health Outpatient facility. This evening PRN role offers 12 hours per week with compensation in the $40–$42 per hour range.

You will perform high-level clinical assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients and families.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required and Illinois licensure/registration valid before hire.
• LCSW or LCPC or psychologist licensure preferred according to role.
• Experience working with children and families is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clinical assessment & diagnosis to evaluate patient needs.
• Develop and administer evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to align on goals and progress.
• Evening shifts: 4:00 pm–8:00 pm on weeknights and Saturdays.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis: Perform high-level diagnostic assessments to evaluate a patient’s clinical needs and psychosocial status.
• Treatment & Psychotherapy: Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals. Administer evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy tailored to the patient’s specific disorder or disability.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with a multidisciplinary team to align on treatment goals and patient progress. Lead or participate in care conferences, providing expert insights based on assessments and clinical updates.
• Schedule: 2 evening weeknights, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and Saturdays

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• One or more of the following required:
  • Clinical Counselor credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Counselor credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Psychologist credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Social Worker credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Therapist specializing in Marriage & Family credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Master's degree required.
