Job summary

Ascension is hiring for an Activity Recreation Therapy role in Des Plaines, IL, within Nazarethville Place. This part-time, rotating position supports residents through targeted activities, assessments, and engagement in therapeutic programs.

Position requires a High school diploma or GED and certifications (BLS and AED) or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire. Experience with geriatric populations is preferred, with a strong emphasis on safety and compassionate care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• One or more of the following required:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Heart Saver AED obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
