Job summary

Ascension Saint Joseph is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the Adult Psychiatry Unit in Chicago, IL. You will help patients with daily living activities, participate in direct patient care, and monitor behavior as part of the care team.

The role requires BLS certification within 30 days of hire, with CPI certification preferred and Illinois Nurse Aide validation encouraged. Salary reflects hospital standards and benefits.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 1 month of hire.
• CPI certification preferred.
• Nurse Aide credentialed with IDPH required or preferred as stated.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Preferred Credential(s):

• Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention credentialed from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI).

• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
