Job summary

The Wood Group is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Tech to join our mental health care team. You will support residents with behavioral health challenges, helping them achieve stability through caring, structured support.

We offer full-time overnight shifts 7pm–7am on a rotating 12-hour schedule, PRN call-outs, and benefits including healthcare, dental, vision, a 4% retirement match, vacation, and paid training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in behavioral health or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in mental health, behavioral health, or social services is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
• Knowledge of behavioral health practices, safety protocols, and crisis intervention techniques.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and well-being of residents at all times.
• Cook and serve meals; follow facility menu.
• Complete items on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect.
• Supervise resident medication procedures; ensure proper timing; narcotics counted and documented.
• Daily chart documentation.
• Familiar with The Wood Group's policy and procedures.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our mental health care team. Full-time shift available:

• Overnight 7pm to 7am- (12hr rotating schedule)
• PRN shifts (as needed for call outs)

Below are a few job duties to expect as a Behavioral Health Tech:

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
• Cook and serve meals. Follow the facility menu as posted.
• Responsible for completing items listed on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
• Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
• Responsible for the supervision of all resident medication procedures. Ensure that all residents receive their proper medication at the proper time. All narcotics will be counted and documented on each shift.
• Daily chart documentation
• Be familiar with The Wood Group's policy and procedures to include employee handbook.
