Job summary

The Wood Group Behavioral Health Services in Tyler, Texas seeks a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to support residents with behavioral health challenges through structured care and empathetic support.

You will contribute to safety, meal service, medication supervision, and daily charting on a full-time overnight or PRN schedule, with a team-driven environment and opportunities for paid training and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Texas driver’s license required.
• Additional certification in behavioral health or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in mental health, behavioral health, or social services is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
• Cook and serve meals. Follow the facility menu as posted.
• Complete items listed on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
• Ensure all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
• Supervise resident medication procedures and document narcotics counts per shift.
• Daily chart documentation and adherence to policies and procedures.

Full-time Shifts Available

• Overnight shift - 7pm to 7am (12hr rotating schedule)
• PRN shifts (for call outs only)

Job Duties

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
• Cook and serve meals. Follow the facility menu as posted.
• Responsible for completing items listed on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
• Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
• Responsible for the supervision of all resident medication procedures. Ensure that all residents receive their proper medication at the proper time. All narcotics will be counted and documented on each shift.
• Daily chart documentation
• Be familiar with The Wood Group’s policy and procedures to include employee handbook.

  Salary Description

  $16.00 per hour
