Job summary

ReMed, a Collage Rehabilitation Partner, is seeking Weekend Behavior Health Technicians for our Covington, LA residential programs. You will provide direct care to individuals with brain injuries, implementing behavioral training and supporting daily living activities on a 12-hour shift schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and responsible driving behavior.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Implements facility wide behavioral training and individual protocols with documentation.
• Models appropriate behavior, provides positive reinforcement and corrective feedback daily.
• Assists residents in ADLs and participates in activities, including transportation to appointments and community events.
• Completes daily documentation such as behavioral data, shift summaries and incident reports.
• Performs housekeeping tasks including laundry, vacuuming and dusting.

We provide treatment for post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues and accident or sports-related head injuries.

We are searching for Weekend Behavior Health Technicians to work in our residential programs located in Covington, LA. Behavior Technicians provide direct care services to people with behavioral challenges as a result of brain injury.

Schedule: 12 Hour Shifts

Duties:

• Implements facility wide behavioral training as well as individual behavioral protocols, completing the necessary documentation
• Models appropriate behavior provides positive reinforcement and corrective feedback on a daily basis
• Assists residents in ADL's (Activities of Daily Living includes bathing, transfers, toileting and physical assistance), assists and participates in physical, vocational and recreational activities
• Transports residents to medical appointments, vocational, recreational, educational activities in the community
• Completes all daily needed documentation (i.e. behavioral data, token exchange, shift summaries, house charts, checklists, medication administration records, and incident reports)
• Completes all housekeeping chores (i.e. laundry, vacuuming, dusting, etc.)

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or GED is required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license and responsible driving behaviors must be maintained
• Ability to lift 50lbs
