Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech I to support patients throughout the treatment experience from admission to discharge. The role focuses on patient safety, interventions, group facilitation, and collaboration with the clinical team in Dade City, FL.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid state driver’s license, CPI certification within 90 days, and CPR/AED/First Aid certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver's License.
• Must obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire, CPR, AED, and First Aid training provided.
• Substance Use Division: Minimum 1 year sobriety if in recovery.
• Eating Disorder Division: Minimum 1 year recovery from eating disorder if in recovery.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to DBH policies and procedures and maintains confidentiality of patient information.
• Provides patient safety interventions and supports patient daily needs.
• Leads psychoeducational groups and participates in treatment planning.
• Assists nursing staff with duties including supervision, vitals, and searches as directed.
• Documents shift notes, group notes, and other required records timely.
