Job summary

Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech I to assist and support patients from admission through discharge. You will contribute to treatment planning, lead psychoeducational groups, and help maintain safety and order across shifts.

The role requires adherence to policies, respectful patient interactions, and timely documentation. CPR/AED/First Aid and CPI within 90 days are expected, with training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire; training provided.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certifications required; training provided.
• Substance Use Division: minimum 1 year sobriety if in recovery.
• Eating Disorder Division: minimum 1 year recovery if in recovery.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and provide interventions as needed.
• Lead psychoeducational groups for patients.
• Support patients through admission, treatment planning, and discharge processes.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and records.
• Document shift notes, group notes, and required documentation by shift end.
• Assist Nursing staff with duties and patient supervision.
