Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech to support patient care under the supervision of the nursing leadership. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, participating in a multidisciplinary team, and helping maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities include observation, group sessions, staff training, and documentation while upholding service excellence standards in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days of start date.
• Experience providing patient care is preferred.
• Infection control procedures must be demonstrated consistently.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proper Infection Control procedures by using standard precautions.
• Attends 80% of departmental staff meetings.
• Maintains a neat, professional appearance per hospital dress code.
• Adheres to safety policies and procedures to promote safe work practices.
• Communicates with patients, staff and visitors in a compassionate and professional manner.
• Maintains documentation and responds to requests in a timely manner.
• Seeks direction from Supervisor when needed.
