Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech with no degree to support patient care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team in Amarillo, TX. Under supervision, you will assist with treatments, safety, daily living activities, and documentation while promoting a culture of Service Excellence and professional conduct.

You will participate in rounds, lead groups, train new staff, and ensure adherence to policies while maintaining patient rights and dignity.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required on hire or within 30 days.
• 2 years’ experience providing patient care are required.
• EMT Certification, Medical Assistant Certification or High School Diploma/equivalent are required.
• Demonstrates ability to adhere to infection control and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Attend 80% of departmental staff meetings.
• Maintain current BLS and Handle with Care certification.
• Demonstrate proper infection control procedures and standard precautions.
• Communicate respectfully with patients, families and coworkers.
• Follow safety policies and maintain professional appearance.
