Job summary

Bon Secours Richmond Community Hospital is seeking a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) for the Behavioral Health Unit on a PRN nights schedule. You will deliver high-quality nursing care in a safe, therapeutic environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include direct patient care per care plan, documenting status, administering meds, wound care, and participating in treatment planning to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current state RN licensure (or compact licensure).
• BLS preferred on hire; ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS.
• One year of RN experience; behavioral health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per the provider’s prescribed plan of care and nursing scope.
• Assess and document patient conditions and report changes as needed.
• Administer medications, insulin, and IV fluids, documenting thoroughly.
• Collaborate with providers and the health care team to ensure patient outcomes.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
