Job summary

Mercy Health, Richmond Community Hospital, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Behavioral Health Unit on a PRN basis. The role involves delivering high-quality nursing care in an evening/night shift, contributing to patient safety and therapeutic environments.

Ideal candidates hold an BSN or similar, state RN licensure, and at least one year of RN experience, preferably in behavioral health. BLS is preferred, ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS; EPIC training is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current state RN licensure (or compact licensure) is required.
• BSN preferred.
• 1 year of RN experience; behavioral health experience preferred.
• BLS required/preferred; ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care according to the plan of care and nursing scope.
• Assess and document patient conditions; report changes as needed.
• Administer medications, insulin, and IV fluids; document thoroughly.
• Inspect wounds, change dressings, assist with hygiene.
• Collaborate with providers and health-team members to ensure outcomes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
