Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered, RN-led care in a behavioral health setting on a PRN day schedule. Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student rotations.
• RN licensure in the applicable state required.
• Basic life support (BCLS) required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process with adherence to protocols.
• Perform accurate assessments and document findings; report changes promptly.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects per standards.
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and adjust care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions as needed.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge planning.
• Maintain infection control practices and patient safety standards.
• Document care thoroughly in the medical record and ensure compliance.
