Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Richmond is seeking a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) for the Behavioral Health Unit at Richmond Community Hospital. The RN provides nursing care, assesses status, implements interventions, and creates care plans to promote safe, therapeutic experiences.

Candidates should have BSN (preferred), RN license, BLS (preferred on hire, ACLS acceptable), and 1 year of RN experience with behavioral health preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and RN licensure in the state.
• BLS required or preferred on hire; ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS.
• 1 year of professional RN experience, behavioral health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per plan of care and nursing scope.
• Assess and document patient conditions; report changes as needed.
• Administer medications, insulin, IV fluids; care for wounds.
• Collaborate with providers and health team to ensure outcomes.
• Develop and implement patient care plans to improve outcomes.
