Job summary

Universal Health Services’ Metropolitan Behavioral Health, a UHS Facility in Dearborn, MI, seeks a House Supervisor (RN) for Per Diem Days (7 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.).

The 144-bed behavioral health facility provides inpatient services for adolescents, adults and older adults with co-occurring programs and a robust outpatient component. The House Supervisor ensures coordinated patient care, supervises nursing staff, and collaborates with Admissions for admissions, discharges and transfers.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an associate degree in nursing or BSN from an accredited program is required.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
• Currently licensed to practice by the MI State Board of Nursing.
• Understanding of The Joint Commission, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements. Must have current CPR certification.
• This per diem day shift position will also assist with weekend and holiday coverage.

Responsibilities

• The House Supervisor is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives.
• The House Supervisor will provide supervision to the nursing staff, patients, and patient care during their shift and work closely with the Intake and Admissions Department regarding patient admissions, discharges, and transfers during their shift.
