Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility)
A growing 144-bed behavioral health facility – Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.

The House Supervisor (RN) is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational and performance improvement efforts, while providing supervision to the nursing staff. The House Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of the nursing staff, patients, and patient care during their shift. The House Supervisor will work closely with the Intake and Admissions Department regarding patient admissions, discharges, and transfers during their shift.
Education: A minimum of an associate degree in nursing or BSN from an accredited program is required.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the MI State Board of Nursing
Additional Requirements: Understanding of The Joint Commission, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements. Must have current CPR certification.
This per diem night shift position will assist with weekend and holiday coverage.
