Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate Recovery Support Specialist to provide direct support within inpatient behavioral health, mental health, and addiction programs. The RSS focuses on patient safety, engagement, and daily operational support in a structured, recovery-focused environment.

The RSS works with the treatment team, builds rapport with patients, observes behaviors, and communicates observations to clinical staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher.
• Minimum age of 21 and valid driver's license with acceptable driving record when driving is assigned.
• Experience in behavioral health or addiction treatment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient supervision and safety checks.
• Monitor patient behavior, document observations, report concerns to staff.
• Respond to crises using de-escalation techniques and follow protocols.
• Support patient engagement in treatment and daily routines.
