Job summary

Sentara Health Plans seeks a Manager of Behavioral Health Care Management for PHP/IOP at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA. This onsite, full-time role leads behavioral health operations, including staffing, scheduling, patient access, and program development across locations.

The ideal candidate has a clinical background with 5 years in behavioral health and at least 1 year in a supervisory role; licensure such as LCSW/LPC/RN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, social work, psychology, healthcare administration, or related clinical discipline.
• Five years clinical experience in behavioral health.
• One year supervisory or lead experience.
• Licensure preferred: LCSW, LPC, or RN.

Responsibilities

• Provides operational leadership for PHP and IOP services.
• Oversees multiple behavioral health locations as programs expand.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, patient flow, and operational processes.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory, safety, and documentation requirements.
• Monitors metrics, improves access, and coordinates revenue-cycle workflows.
