Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking an experienced Inpatient Behavioral Health Manager to oversee daily operations of the clinical unit, ensure patient safety and quality outcomes, and lead a skilled care team.

Responsibilities include interviewing and developing staff, budgeting support, coordinating payroll and purchasing, and serving as a clinical resource to the team to deliver exceptional patient and family experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
• Graduate Degree is preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse required.
• 2 years experience in a support leadership RN position (e.g., Unit Coordinator, Team Lead).
• Experience in Behavioral Health Units is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of one or more clinical areas and supervise care staff.
• Ensure patient safety, quality outcomes, and excellent patient/family experience.
