Job summary

VNS Health is seeking a supervisor for its Behavioral Health Services program in New York. You will oversee administrative and clinical operations, ensure quality and appropriate utilization of services, and support an interdisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities include organizing triage, referrals, staff scheduling, and maintaining accurate case records, while ensuring policy compliance and reporting requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience in a community mental health setting required.
• Minimum of one-year of supervisory experience required.
• Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Crisis intervention experience preferred.
• Prior experience working with children and adolescents required.

Responsibilities

• Organizes program components including triage and case assignment procedures, new referrals, liaison activities, and staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage.
• Communicates program policies and procedures to staff and ensures compliance; takes corrective action as needed.
• Oversees maintenance of updated case records and coordinates electronic communication across provider databases.
• Maintains client information and ensures care management interventions and wellness plans meet standards.
• Tracks client progress and produces detailed reports for the program.
