Job summary

Independence Blue Cross is seeking a Summer Intern for Medical Management & Policy Analysis (Behavioral Health) in Philadelphia. The role supports a new project to map the behavioral health provider network, assess capabilities, and build a SharePoint site to help care navigators match members with the right services.

The internship offers exposure to healthcare operations, data collection, analysis, and cross-functional collaboration, with a structured schedule Mon–Fri, 37.5 hours/week.

Responsibilities

• Support initiatives to improve access to behavioral health services and member experience.
• Collect, organize, and maintain information on healthcare provider networks.
• Conduct research and analysis to assess provider capabilities and service offerings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate data.
• Develop and maintain tools, resources, and documentation for care coordination.
• Organize content within collaboration platforms and knowledge-sharing sites.
• Analyze data and summarize findings to support decision-making and planning.
• Participate in project meetings and provide status updates.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve resource access.
• Present insights and outcomes to team members and leadership.
