Job summary

Prime Healthcare seeks a Behavioral Health LPN at Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, KS. Part-time, 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, in an inpatient behavioral health unit.

You will provide compassionate, hands‑on care alongside RNs and an interdisciplinary team to promote patient safety, stabilization and recovery. Responsibilities include medication administration, patient monitoring, crisis intervention, and coordination of admissions and discharges.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state license as an LPN or LPT.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification.
• IV certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients with acute mental and behavioral health needs.
• Observe, monitor, and document patient behavior, mental status, and safety risks.
• Administer medications as ordered and monitor side effects.
• Assist with crisis intervention and de‑escalation to promote unit safety.
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers, including patient education.
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation per policy and regulations.
