West Oaks Hospital in Houston, TX is seeking an Intake Registered Nurse to coordinate assessments for incoming patients and support the admission process. The role partners with Intake Patient Access Representatives and Assessors and provides discharge planning support under the Director of Intake Services.

The RN will handle admission and assessment, interventions, milieu management, and participate in performance improvement efforts, contributing to high-quality behavioral health care across

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current Texas State Registered Nurse licensure.
• CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications.
• Preferred: Two years of inpatient psychiatric nursing and/or medical/surgical experience.

Responsibilities

• Admission and Assessment coordination with Intake staff and Assessors.
• Intervention and milieu management in the patient care process.
• Support discharge planning under the Director of Intake Services.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
