Job summary

Integrated Services for Behavioral Health is seeking a Client Insurance Specialist to support Southeast and Central Ohio. The role focuses on education, workflows, and assistance with insurance eligibility, renewals, and authorizations, ensuring accurate coverage information across departments.

The position requires strong communication, organization, and data entry abilities, with experience in Medicaid and payer processes. Travel within service areas is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health insurance verification, authorizations, billing support, or related areas is expected.
• Knowledge of Medicaid, managed care, and payer authorization processes is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide staff education and consultation on insurance coverage, payer requirements, eligibility verification, and authorizations.
• Develop workflows and materials to improve client insurance communication and navigation.
• Serve as escalation point for complex insurance questions and coverage barriers.
• Monitor renewals, eligibility changes, and payer updates and communicate to staff.
• Track and organize insurance renewal data in electronic health records to support care continuity.
• Communicate self-pay arrangements and collect payments when applicable.
• Maintain internal lists and updates related to client insurance changes.
