Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is seeking a Client Insurance Specialist to support families in Southeast and Central Ohio. The role focuses on verifying coverage, explaining payer requirements, and securing authorizations to ensure continuous care.

Responsibilities include educating staff, developing workflows, tracking renewals, and collaborating with billing, intake, and clinical teams. A valid driver's license and reliable internet are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in healthcare administration, social services, or related fields.
• 2–3 years in behavioral health insurance verification or related fields.
• Experience in community mental health settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate staff on insurance coverage and authorization processes.
• Develop workflows and materials to improve insurance navigation.
• Act as escalation point for complex insurance questions.
• Monitor renewals, eligibility changes, and payer updates.
• Track and organize renewal data in electronic health records.
• Communicate self-pay agreements and collect payments when applicable.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure accurate insurance information.
• Coordinate with utilization review, billing, and prior authorization.
