Job summary

Integrated Services for Behavioral Health is seeking a Client Insurance Specialist to support insurance verification, authorizations, and billing navigation for clients in Southeast and Central Ohio. The role emphasizes accuracy in eligibility, renewals, and payer communications, with responsibilities spanning data tracking in EHR systems and collaboration across clinical and administrative teams.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, plus 2–3 years in behavioral health insurance

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
2–3 years of experience in behavioral health insurance verification, authorizations, billing support, utilization review, or related area.
Knowledge of Ohio Medicaid, managed care organizations, behavioral health benefits, and payer authorization processes.

Responsibilities

Provide staff education and consultation regarding insurance coverage, payer requirements, eligibility verification, and authorization processes.
Develop workflows, reference materials, and process improvements to strengthen client insurance communication and navigation.
Serve as escalation point for complex client insurance questions and barriers affecting care.
Monitor and communicate client insurance renewals, changes in coverage, and payer updates to staff.
Track and organize client insurance renewal data in EHR systems to support continuity of care.
Communicate with clients to implement self‑pay agreements and provide good faith estimates.
