Job summary

Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is seeking a Client Insurance Specialist to support southeastern Ohio communities. The role focuses on insurance verification, authorizations, and billing support to ensure continuous access to services.

You will develop workflows, educate staff, and coordinate with care teams to resolve payer issues while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Travel within designated areas is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or Bachelor's in healthcare administration, social work, business, behavioral health, or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in behavioral health insurance verification, authorizations, billing support, or healthcare coverage navigation required.
• Experience in community mental health or healthcare environment preferred.
• Advanced communication and organizational skills required.
• Knowledge of Ohio Medicaid, managed care organizations, and payer authorization processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide staff education and consultation regarding insurance coverage, payer requirements, eligibility verification, and authorization processes.
• Develop workflows and reference materials to strengthen client insurance communication and navigation.
• Serve as escalation point for complex client insurance questions and payer barriers.
• Monitor client insurance renewals, eligibility changes, and payer updates.
