Job summary

Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) in Southeastern, Ohio seeks a Client Insurance Specialist to educate staff on coverage, verify eligibility, and manage authorizations. The role supports billing, renewals, and payer communications to minimize care interruptions.

The position requires 2–3 years in behavioral health insurance navigation, strong Excel/Outlook skills, and the ability to travel. A high school diploma is required; a related degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in behavioral health insurance verification, authorizations, billing support, utilization review, or healthcare coverage navigation is required.
• Knowledge of Ohio Medicaid, managed care organizations, behavioral health benefits, and payer authorization processes is required.
• Ability to document services accurately and efficiently in an electronic health record.
• Strong communication and collaboration across departments to ensure accurate client insurance information.
• Ability to travel within designated service areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide staff education and consultation regarding insurance coverage, payer requirements, eligibility verification, and authorization processes for clients.
• Develop workflows and reference materials to improve client insurance communication and navigation across the organization.
• Monitor and communicate client insurance renewals and changes to staff and departments.
• Track insurance data within electronic health records to support continuity of care and operations.
• Collaborate with billing and clinical teams to resolve insurance issues and minimize service interruptions.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and professional ethical guidelines.
