Job summary

Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is seeking a Client Insurance Specialist to support Southeastern, OH regions. The role focuses on education about insurance coverage, eligibility verification, and authorization processes, while improving workflows and ensuring accurate data in EHR systems.

The position requires 2–3 years of behavioral health insurance experience, strong communication, and data management skills, with travel within designated areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in healthcare administration, social work, business, behavioral health, or related fields.
• 2-3 years of experience in behavioral health insurance verification, authorizations, billing support, utilization review, or healthcare coverage navigation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide education and consultation on insurance coverage, payer requirements, eligibility verification, and authorizations.
• Develop workflows and materials to improve client insurance communications.
• Serve as escalation point for complex insurance questions and coverage barriers.
• Monitor client insurance renewals and eligibility changes; communicate updates to staff.
• Track and organize renewal and coverage data in electronic health records to support care continuity.
• Communicate self-pay options and collect eligible payments.
