Job summary

Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) serves Southeast and Central Ohio, meeting people in their homes and communities to connect them with resources and support for health and well‑being. ISBH seeks a Client Insurance Specialist (Southeastern, OH) to verify coverage, obtain authorizations, assist with billing, and navigate payer requirements to maintain access to services.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in behavioral health insurance verification, authorizations, billing support, utilization review, or healthcare coverage navigation.
• Experience in a community mental health or healthcare environment preferred.
• Knowledge of Ohio Medicaid, managed care organizations, behavioral health benefits, and payer authorization processes.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide staff education and consultation regarding insurance coverage, payer requirements, eligibility verification, and authorization processes.
• Develop workflows and reference materials to improve client insurance navigation across the organization.
• Serve as escalation point for complex client insurance questions and payer barriers.
• Monitor renewals, eligibility changes, and payer updates affecting services and billing.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate client insurance information.
