Job summary

Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) in Ohio is hiring a Client Insurance Specialist in Southeastern Ohio. This role focuses on insurance verification, authorization processes, and payer communications to support uninterrupted client care.

You will develop workflows, educate staff, and collaborate with billing, clinical teams, and intake to ensure accurate coverage data and good faith estimates. Travel within designated service areas is expected.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in behavioral health insurance verification, authorizations, billing support, or related area.
• Experience in community mental health or healthcare environment preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicaid, managed care, and payer authorization processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide staff education and consultation on insurance coverage and authorization processes.
• Develop workflows and materials to improve client insurance communication and navigation.
• Serve as escalation point for complex client insurance questions and coverage issues.
• Monitor renewals, eligibility changes, and payer updates affecting services.
• Track and organize client insurance data in electronic health records to support care continuity.
• Communicate with clients to implement self-pay agreements and provide good faith estimates.
• Collaborate with billing, intake, scheduling, and clinical teams to ensure accurate insurance information.
• Identify trends and gaps in coverage using data analytics, while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
