Job summary

SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) seeks a Suicide Prevention Coordinator to lead behavioral health grant programming across SEARHC communities. Plan, budget, implement and evaluate grant strategies and programs supporting assigned projects and improving community health.

The role requires evenings and weekends, strong data collection/reporting skills, and the ability to advocate for funding opportunities, prepare grant reports, and coordinate with funders to advance policy

Qualifications

• Associates degree in health related or business field, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Relevant work experience of 2 years in a health or social services field may be substituted for degree.
• Healthcare leadership training/certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Advocate for Alaska Native/American Indian hiring preference and mentorship opportunities.
• Administer health education strategies, interventions, and programs per approved work plans.
• Communicate and advocate for behavioral health per grant work plans; influence policy and SEARHC resources.
• Implement health education policies, strategies, interventions, and programs.
• Track and report budget items for multiple grant budgets per grantor requirements and SEARHC systems
